I have started to build my re-re when I discover some extra holes and that got me thinking if Kyosho planning a different application for the Scorpion platform. Any thoughts any one?

$60, 30 turn motor??? It's got to be slower than a Tamiya 540 silver can. I was thinking that a Tamiya Sport Tuned might be how I go, since I am on the all black theme and the can is black. Plus it is $19 on Amazon.

I would be interested to see the performance of the Le Mans 490 if anyone buys one.

Scorpion, Tomahawk, Optima, Beetle?

I saw Kyosho refer to the Scorpion as belonging to the classic or retro "series" somewhere.

You may find some pieces you need here Ron. Especially if you have the old gearbox.

Marwan has finally created repro SC-84 (rear) and SC-90 (front) tires for the Turbo Scorpion, Assault and other Circuit 1000 buggies.
Available at his store (see links below) and also on eBay (do a search).

Set of 4 (2 SC-90 front, 2 SC-84 rear): http://www.marwanrc.com/product.sc?productId=101&categoryId=4
Set of 2 SC-90 front tires: http://www.marwanrc.com/product.sc?productId=100&categoryId=4
Set of 2 SC-84 rear tires: http://www.marwanrc.com/product.sc?productId=99&categoryId=4

We all know how much originals cost.

Thanks olblueyez! The cf bumper is very promising stronger than plastic or aluminum, it is just perfect. I have scorcher body on mine so I will make s custom cf bumper for it myself. I have spent hundreds of $$ on my buggy, on rare to find parts so $$ does not hurt, now with the 2014 rr, I will wait till I can get better prices, I know what I want and will keep an eye out, can't wait to see the ball diff, way to go, kyosho- made an extremely rare and expensive buggy accessible to all. The tires were hard to get, and now what anymore, I would say this buggy is every bit as good if not better than original and worth as much as a nip original from the 80 s

Banzai just listed more hop ups, can't beat their prices, and with EMS shipping, gets here to the US pretty quick.
I just ordered some goodies :)

MIP also has a diff kit that will fit.
Smoke Dog sent me the list of needed parts with part numbers.
It's a nice part.

I AM LAZY with the pics, but yeah will post in some this weekend, I have to take shot, scale down etc etc, I have so many pics I wanna show! ha ha ha. Still want that jewel of a ball diff from CRP but PRICEY. Guess I will have to go with the new ball diff from kyosho and the new gearbox (ITS NOT TOO BAD). I know all ball diffs will work but I want it to be beautifully machined from metal, although you can not see it, you will know it is there still. I have the CRP swing shafts and they look just GREAT! With the trailing arm setup, all you see from the back are those beefy swing shafts connecting the tires and the gearbox, just a beautiful buggy all over, if I must say so. The new caster locks looks good too, I want to put a new set just for that bold clean look. Will decide between the machined and the cast one, I haven't gotton a high resolution pic of the machined castor lock yet.

P.S - Thanks for all the links guys
