But it's only good for 4 minutes.
That's what she said
Sorry, couldn't resist.

A couple of gems from Japan came in:
Yokomo Super Wing 15 double and Super Luna 9 double.

Really cool motors
The Super Luna is erectric!

But it's only good for 4 minutes.
That could depend on how aggressive the gearing is.

You must be using a small pinion.

Just to be clear, the pinion is the input and the spur receives said input.

Pinions don't go into spurs, they are both similar contributors to final drive ratio. The size of both are equally important in that determination. I identify with the bigger gear.

Today I received what's technically a Manta Ray
It is a Lee Broadhurst built car, a similar spec to the Manta Rays Craig Drescher and Jamie Booth are running. A mix of Tamiya Manta Ray gearcases and diffs, LBRC chassis, shock towers, arms and gears. Custom RC Parts alloy upgrades, Willspeed steering arms, and some vintage Tamiya upgrades. Just got to sort out a set of shocks for it and a new body and wing.

That's awesome! Not your usual Tamiya offering....
It appears to have some Schumacher-ey bits as well (ball cups, rear tower support).

I had the Non-Drake edition. I ruined it by replacing the OEM motor with a hot but finicky novarrossi. Phenomenal stadium truck.

If you are going to run it take note, the rear battery compartment gets demolished on the first few runs. Find some way to protect it by adding foam or not installing it at all.
