did you do that personally?
no, that's someone elses worlds car. i'm not that wreckless.
here's another angle on the extent of the damage. notice how the nose plate wanted to go another direction. you could see the chassis right below the nose plate. no doubt that chassis was written off as well.

Goes to show how strong those wishbones are! You'd have thought they would have broken first??
Heres my Worlds Car.... as you can see it needs a bit of TLC

But at least the chassis seems straight

Edited to add - it seems some WC RC10s have split front wheels - where as others have single peice items?

Three piece front wheels were the kit standard on the 6037, at least in the USA...

Mmm - you are right Templeofspeed - looking back through all the pictures of Worlds RC10s in this thread - they all have the 3 peice front wheels. The above picture shows some 2.2" B2/B3 wheels that will eventually be fitted to my car. However the car came with some identical one peice wheels but of a smaller dia.... these are shown in some of the other pics in the Tamiyaclub link??

It was pretty common for people to run the TQ 2.1 rims in the day, the worlds replica ( like temple said) came with the 3 piece rims because that's what they ran at the worlds to increase steering

Ah ha! that would explain why 2.2" Schumacher tyres fit quite well onto these wheels. Did the 'TQ' wheels come in the bright yellow colour? The wheels in question are depicted in this pic....

Yup, they came on the B2 9000 kit stock, but if you're rims are 2.2 they are most likely from a b3

Well it seems I have both a number of sets of 2.2" B3 wheels (which i'll run the car on) & I have these odd sized front wheels & the original cars 2" rear wheels.
I've learn't alot about RC10 wheels in the past few weeks... of the 2.2" rear wheels I have both 'Team Car' wheels & 'Sport' wheels - the latter fit the original RC10 axles where as the former fit the MIP CVDs that i'll fit to this car

The 3/16 axle change with CVD's was also quite common, the car came stock with 1/4" universals,
but depending on where it was raced, tires and wheels and axles changed a lot

The true TQ front wheels use flanged bearings, and were available in white, yellow, and black although the kits that used them only had white. Fluorescent yellow and black were offered after the fact, and weren't available until approximately the time of the World's Car.
B2 and TQ front wheels are identical in appearance and size (2.125), the only difference being the bearing bores. Both have eight ribs on the backside, the B3 have six ribs and are truly 2.2". Trivial tidbit: The B2 shown on the original 9000 box has TQ wheels on the front...you can clearly see the bearing flange.
Real TQ fronts in yellow are actually fairly hard to find new.

Seems these are B2 wheels then - as the plain 3/16 x 3/8 bearings fit
Mark - your 'weekly runner' looks great - I like the paint scheme, quite period/retro colours
