about that torch being passed... Dad swears he can still beat us, but we know he cant! I certainly did not mind your wrench work! I felt really lucky that you decided to do that and really really appreciated it! My second qualifier was absolutely awesome. I had to use the brakes to rotate the car in tight corners (like the RB-5, so im used to it) but with a nearly flawless run I still got the job done! I always try to take something from every race and I definitely left with a lot more knowledge than I arrived with thanks to you! I cant wait for the "Waterbury Open" in September!

Here's video of the main. Believe it or not, Jeremy usually drives much better than this. Either way, a win is a win!

Here's the modified main event. Nothing vintage here, but Josh takes the win with Jeremy in 2nd.

Thanks for the video Jeff. First thing, that RC10 was FAST

.
Boy, Jeremy was clearly the better driver even with the errors. I remember a lot of guys back then in the track that would not have the patience to hang behind a leading car before making the move and they where popular guys but not for the good reasons. Probabilities are that the guy in front of you will make the error fist so it is all a mater of hanging for a bit.
The RC10 definitely looks like it can handle everything very well. Good racing Jeremy it looked like an exiting win.

Great video shooting Josh, Jeremy & Jeff!
Too bad that Josh did not get a shot of Jeremy's reaction right after he won and stopped up on the hill there. He took a huge deep breath, shook his head as he slumped over the driver stand railing as he could finally relax and catch his breath.
Exciting race to watch, a nail-biter for us on the sidelines and we could not have "wished" you across the line while in 1st anymore than we did.
Congrats Jeremy and Josh on your wins this weekend... Mission Accomplished!
On a side note, their grandpa went and looked at the laptimes between Jeremy's 2nd place A-Main mod current car, and the Stock A-Main with the Rc10, and I believe he commented that his fastest lap in each, when compared, found that his stock main fastest lap was quicker than his fastest mod main lap!

There is a second vintage car in the stock main. I'm told it's a TRX-3 and the guy bought it in 93. He qualified 2nd and finished 3rd. I think it's pretty cool that at a race like a JConcepts Supercup series event, you have 2 vintage cars racing in the stock class with 26 other cars and they qualify 1st and second with overall finished of 1st and 3rd.

Just wondering if the battery straps on your cars T4 carbon straps?

I'm using the B4 battery hold down. I use the B44 battery posts since they take up less space than the regular battery cup and they don't care that the hardcase LiPo's are too long to fit between the bulkhead and the cup. I put a spacer under the posts when I mount them so that there's plenty of thread in the thumbscrew holding the battery down. The battery moving forward isn't an issue since the servo mount is about 1/4" from the battery and the battery strap is held down so tight the battery couldn't move if it wanted to.

good editing on the 2nd clip. Jeremy, we all have those races, it was a little sketchy but you were clearly the fastest car on certain parts of that track. I look forward to getting my butt handed to me in September by you guys. I'll be lucky just to make the back of the A with all these fast guys planning on attending.

Hey Jeremy, It's Paul. You guys have got me hooked on this vintage stuff. I've already bought two vintage RC10's since that Super Cup race and have about 100 things on my Ebay watch list. Ya'll have done a good job of spreading the addiction. I only raced for a short time in the early 90's, but it is cool to see these cars out on the track again. It's also really neat to see some these pristine shelf queens on the forum.
