Doug, any chance you can measure the CVA shaft, and the CVA stub? Maybe there is a difference in the CVD/CVA stub axle?

At some point, I will tear it down again, and I can measure everything.

I'm just thinking that there must be a part difference somewhere, if you do not machine that hub and use a B4 CVD then you bottom out into the drive cups with 3/8" left before the chassis touches the ground

the axle length of a b4 axle compared to a b44 is the same. the b44 is shorter from the bearing flange on the end of the axle to the end of the bone compared to a b4.

Isn't that because the inside of your hubs have been relieved for clearance, though? That allows more axle to move through the hub, no? An extra .125" on each side makes your rear track .250" wider.
That's a .125" spacer on mine—stock B4 part.

Yes, that is the point I was trying to illustrate, the machined hubs versus the stock hubs.
Earlier I had said I would measure it up, knowing you had already done the stock '10, B4 hubbed '10 & stock B4 measurements.
Just getting the information out there for everyone.
Got some things up my sleeve for this car

, just waiting for it to show up. I hate waiting...

Ok...what if the Dynotech Klein rear arms were used? Would the milling to the bearing area still be required then?

no, because you wouldn't be able to use those hubs.

Ok...what hubs would i need to use then and would they require milling? Im mostly trying to get around messing around with the bearing area of the hub because i do not have the equipment to do such things.
Just so i understand right..i need the milled hubs to run the B4/B44 axles on the stock length rear arms correct? I should probably start a new thread on this or move my questions to my own build thread most likely lol

correct. if you go with the dynotech arms, you'd want to go with the rpm gt, losi #2038, or custom works #3241 carrier. all of which require no part modifications.

Awesome! This is the lil bit of info that i needed. Now...i just gotta decide if my current gold pan is gonna get these mods or if im gonna grab another one to play with lol...ugh i can see how these buggies can get addicting fast! lol
