Cool - thanks mate
Out of interest, which 12mm hex drives did you settle on? Axial or HPI?

Cool - I've used the Axial hubs but they're 4mm on one side and 5mm on the other, so they 'skew' a little when you tighten them up, which makes the wheels wobble a bit. Did you find HPI hubs with a constant 4mm bore?
I'm slowly working on the custom delrin centre gears by the way... between building the Optima Pro and other sidelines. I'll keep you up to date

Newly made Scorpion hop-ups!
Yesterday a small envelop arrived from US with something I have been looking for some time now to my runner! It contained two custom made wheel hubs so you can us a more modern 2.2” wheels with 12mm hex on your Scorpion runner. I
These adapters are done with a con that fit the Scorpion's odd con and they are 12mm long.
They fit real nice on the CRP CVD’s with no play what so ever and titans good when I mounted the wheel back on.
I did 8 minutes test run on ruff tarmac and grass, at one time I thought I would rip my old diff to pieces. But it holds up and so did the wheel hubs without loosen up. So I gone get me a few sets more of this “Whisler-hubs” tom my next runner built this fall/winter.
He is also making a real nice adjustable motor plate, front arms shaft blocks with set screws to keep the shaft in place and machined cassis rails. His eBay name is dwyz250

Yeah, I grabbed the chassis and motor plate. Pretty nice work isn't it?
The alloy seems very strong!

Nice job!!! I would like to make a question.I am working on a scorpiom project (still collecting pieces) and I want to keep her old school. I intend to use the mechanic speed control and Iwould like to know if there is a limit for the motor . Can anyone give me some help which LeMans motors I can use..?

I would suggest to keep your runs limited to 5 minutes though: to give parts the chance to cool down.
The 240 line would be pushing your luck to my feel.

That’s no problem; those old motors have so week magnets after 25 years. I run a modern LRP 2x17 in my Scorpion with LiPo without problems… But you have to check out your gearbox and adjust any play; otherwise it can end up in tears and a broken gearbox. This you should do anyway. But you are right about the running time; it should be max 5-6 minutes.
