just a small update.

Bit off more than I could chew when it came to assembling the car with the panels shown in the previous photo. Having to redesign how all the panels will go into the car now. all the panels need to mount to the rollcage only for it to work.

All electronics in the car and mounted for the most part. I made a small casing out of aluminum sheets for the ESC and reciever. I had to cut down the casing and sand the heatsink down on the ESC too.

I've also gotten an LED kit and pods that are wired together and ready to mount once I get my body panels remade.

I'm going to scrap my current roof to make one that wraps around the rear end.

plan to make an alloy wing but not sure on design yet so havent made it yet. Might order a thorp

Stupid me forgot to order a piece to connect the servo to the bell cranks otherwise I would have the car drivable. The basic wire kit on the rc10 doesnt work with my bell crank as it has a hole for a screw and nothing else to hook into. Looks like im gonna have to order from rc4wd again. Maybe I can just make a small 3mm threaded rod instead. All those bad rod ends might be good for something.

well I put the car on hold for a little while As i got frustrated with the body parts. since then.

Made a new roof for the car.
Figured out how to mount all my light pods
got an alloy wing for the car.
got the last piece of linkage for the steering.
I got my alloy bulkheads polished up.
got my massive screw order in so ill have stainless screws all around.

still dont have the side panels done but I finally decided how I want to do it an so im waiting for parts to come in.

For now i tore appart the car and am doing a slight polish on all the parts again as i reassemble it.

If this car had a name, Between whats going into it and how it looks. Its gonna be Javel-10

Glad I checked in, the bulkheads look pretty nice all polished up. Why two of them? Maybe I missed that?

Love the wing. Are both those bulkheads from Scott?

While looking at those pics of the wing and bulk heads made me think about that drag link. So I drew some thing up. It be cool to have some one make one of these up. Its not scaled correctly just an idea for one.

the replica bulkhead was made by chophead. its for another alloy build. so many testing parts resulted in almost another car.

the modified bulkhead was made by jwscab. It is for this car.

I figured out how to do the drag link. The rod ends I'm using are threaded so deep that I just cut down the ends until they fitted together ok.

on a side note, that linkage you see works in 5 places. I just adjust which holes I mount too but just the basic rod ends with a 1/2" spacer between and im golden on all camber linkage. My steering used like a 3/4" or maybe 1" spacer. I'm still gonna add washer into it until I'm happy with the steering.

This is a fantastic build! I'd really like to have the time, patience and skill to do something like this. Very well done!

My body panels are almost done. just a picture of them off the car and set onto it.

I also polished up a few more of the clamps that I used on to mount the roll cage to the chassis. they will connect the sides to the car.
