Looks great indeed, I would get rid of the blue screws that are not really period correct and ditch teh front shock tower, replacing it with either a stock or long Jammin Jay one. Now we want to see that nice restored early MIP tranny back on it!

Thanks. Yeah, I'm going to swap the screws out. As for the tower, its something I made many many years ago and is part of the history of this car. I know most of you guys probably don't like it, but as long as this car is on my shelf it will remain
Yes, next up is the MIP trans restoration and the shocks. I also contacted UltraHive about reproducing the label for the Trinity Joel Johnson 1987 World Championship motor, hopefully he'll be willing to do so.

Went through the MIP trans tonight. Disassembled and cleaned

Thrust assembly. Note there is no compression spring, just two belville washers. Not much adjustability in there...

Putting the thrust assembly back together...

Ready for a little diff lube and reassembly

The two case halves are held together by 4 screws that run through the Hot Trick motor plate

And finally back on the car.

Actually I was going to put the esc in that mount and the receiver on the tower. The esc fits in there really nice.

It was mounted to a shock tower on a car I got along time ago I think you have to drill your own holes.
