j-sou I'll see your pretzel bun and raise you a kaiser roll. And by "see" I mean I literally just saw yours and it looked awesome. I took 1/3lb of turkey and covered it in cheddar cheese. Baked that at 400 F and then stuck it on a grilled kaiser roll with 4 strips of bacon and a smear of mayo. It was pretty damn good and worthy of Man vs. Food.

That turkey is only in there to hold the cheese and bacon

Make sure to fold and cross-layer the turkey. It makes all the difference.

Hey Thumbs, that was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I weaved the smoked turkey slices together and covered them with sharp cheddar cheese, then put it all in the toaster oven for maybe 10-15 minutes. I cooked up some hickory smoked bacon with lots of crushed black pepper, then put it all on a ciabatta bun with some horseradish sauce and a side of Great Value sour cream & onion fries.

A close friend and I did Gumbo for a charity event 100 Men Who Cook last night. The event raised $104,000 for the Albion Fellows Bacon Center. It's a shelter for abused women and children. Great cause. We made about 10 gallons total once we added the rice. It was a great time. Open bar too! I'm the ugly redneck on the right.

Heading off to the store here a few minutes, whole chickens on sale. Sounds like a bbq callin me.

On a serious note, hands down thumbs, helping out always makes the food 10X better.

I wasnt planning on Turkey legs. Went to the store to pick up some foil tins I use when I am tossing things on the smoker and the turkey legs were calling me. The were pretty large and only a couple bucks each :)

The fresh wheat french bread (wrapped in foil on the back side of the bbq as well), baked potatoes (on the bbq as well of course!) didnt make it to the picture taking :)

Topped it all off with a store bought lemon meringue pie...

A bounty of epic proportions! Just what a Saturday night calls for! We had a long day out and about with the kid so I kept it simple. Johnsonville brat burgers and fries. If you haven't had them, check 'em out. Great on the grill or iron skillet.
