Old style case with spacers and bearing in the case.
Felt transmission gasket
idler is a part number I don't recognize.
Manual with part numbers some references to cc parts, some part numbers not updated around fasteners
15 degree casters
1/4" axle rear
Also:
Later style steering blocks with aluminum axles - ala CE and Worlds Car.
Later style rear uprights - 0 degree toe.
It seems odd to see a V1 slipper in a modern kit. I'm good with that.
To me it depends on if they are going to release support parts. V1 slipper parts aren’t easy find.
They went to the trouble to mold the original stealth cases but didn’t include the button cover. That was on the same tree as the spacers.
I noticed the missing button as well but it is shown in the new manual.
There are many more part numbers listed in the new 10T manual than the 40th. Wouldn't it be great if that means AE will stock those parts again?
Probably just wishful thinking.

Now everyone needs a 10TCC to go along with their 10CC

The manual makes reference to cc parts.

The kit is up on Tower's site although it may be largely symbolic. Similar to the experience of others, Tower has not filled some of my preorders, RC10 40th included.

For those who don't feel they've suffered enough anguish, torment and frustration in their lives, Tower Hobbies has posted the 10T for pre-order.

I've been monitoring Horizon, Amain and Liquid as well to see which one posts the truck first.
Also, I wanted confirmation that the 10T wasn't being made available exclusively through AE and no one else.
Hopefully, others will follow soon.

I'm very surprised that you still haven't received your 40th.
"symbolic" is the right word to use when placing an order with Tower.
I don't know how they stay in business.
Shame on you Horizon for ruining this once great company.

Just placed my pre-order through the Team Associated website.
I'm on vacation and noticed it available just this morning. Any guess if orders with Team Associated will be filled before or after the big dealers?

One dealer in the UK is already saying not to order through them, but to order through AE to avoid missing out.

So maybe dealers are cut out or severely limited. I think the same is happening/has happened with the 40th RC10 for folks in the UK. I doubt if AE would do that in the US, but it is something to watch.

What kind of sick individual decided it was a good idea to release all these rc10 kits all at once....

I went 30 years without owning an AE product, last year I got the RB10 and the Pro 4 SC10. I have always been on the lookout for an original RC10 but never found one I liked until last month when I was lucky enough to score 2 restoration projects that were not really restorations just minor stuff needed. When I showed my hobby shop guy he was impressed and then handed me the B7D I ordered and then a CC he was able to get. Then the 40 anniversaries came in and now this RC10 T. He's evil no matter how you look at it! EVIL I TELL YOU!

Via amain chat, they will not be selling this model.
They will be apparently selling them through HobbyTown at the local retail level only. I will be on that side of town tomorrow, and will see what the local store says. HT chat confirmed that they are not planning on selling them online at this point, but to check back in, because these situations tend to fluctuate.
Sidenote: amain chat also handles rcplanet chat, and they mentioned that rcplanet was getting in 75 units, and they would have them as early as 5/30.
I want to order, but really want to avoid AE and TH. Its principalities in this!

This! Spreading them out a little, say by even just a few months, would allow budgets to at least begin to recover!
Maybe stock won’t be too limited but some people that just purchased earlier rerelease kits could end up missing out due to timing.
Also too bad they couldn’t announce a release plan for the year so folks could save for the kits they want most. Oh, well…

I didn’t see it mentioned elsewhere in the thread but just looked closer at the product images and the only picture (one of the top down views) that shows the laser logo has “RC10” with no “T”. The etched logo is conspicuously missing from all the other images except the main callout bubble… maybe it’s just a photoshop glitch from actual etched parts not being ready for the pictures, or maybe there’s another black pan buggy rerelease in the works…???
