It would be really cool, but plexiglass is so flexible and my experience is that it's too sensitive to chips (cracks grow fast).

"Too sensitive to chips" for a runner? Or too sensitive to chips to be formed and drilled?

The performance awards my employer hands out are made of a cool looking crystal clear material that appears to be molded. Very cool stuff, but I don't know the name. I do know that it shatters into a jillion pieces when a 5.56 mm piece of lead makes contact at around 3000 fps.

Little nick + flex = crack

Maybe not everyone's experience, but I didn't ever have much luck with the stuff.

I think 3000fps is the right use for plexiglass.

I finished my 40th yesterday, B6D 2 days ago and built a traxxas slash brushed 2wd in about 2 hours for my friends step son who has been very sick yesterday. Today I looked at my empty workbench and was sad there was nothing to work on.

How about polycarbonate? A small piece of 1/8" Lexan can be bought on ebay for not a lot of money. While you're at it, maybe you could replicate the shock towers as well. Even the motor plate is possible with lexan.

Since it was released, I've hated the Classic Clear RC10 but suddenly I realize its potential as a very cool display piece.

I'm pretty happy with the semi-transparent natural green fiberglass. If Factory Works offered a polycarbonate cut version of parts I might have considered it. But my RC10CC is done and overall I'm happy with how it turned out. I'm most happy with the parts that aren't RC10CC kit parts (Factory Works chassis, Thorp gears, aluminum wheels, Reedy Sonic, etc ). I like my builds to be viable as runners even if they won't get run much, and I don't like the clear suspension, etc. It all feels fragile. If I'd known the 40th was coming out I definitely would have skipped the CC.

Finally got around to the paint, body, and decals on my Blackfoot.
I still have to paint the driver but I need some more paint and fresh brushes for that.

Looks fantastic. I love a nice Blackfoot. When I was a kid, I thought, "sweet, it's already black, I can skip the paint!" I did end up painting it in JD green with yellow on "FORD" front and back some time later. Then I let my brother "drive" it and he WOT stuffed it into the Oldsmobile's right rear tire.....that body immediately turned into five or so separate pieces.

I built the shocks for my 89wcs yokomo. Shocks and caps are fan rc, shock clips are vintage yokomo and shock rod ends ar re-re yokomo instead of bulky ones that came with shocks.

What springs are you running there? I guess, specifically the front springs.

They are just what came with the shocks and will be switched out or I might try painting them but not sure how good it would stick.

My Tamiya TT01 rebuild lot is coming together nicely.... all three have been rebuilt from the ground up, with a decent clean and new bearings, plus replacement of anything necessary. Middle Escort Cosworth is ready to go, and the right hand TT01e just rolled off the production line and had a test run. Chassis on the left will get a replacement pinion, some wiring cleanup, and then be tested for complete functionality. After that, replacement bodies for the outer two, and they're all done! They're not really super-spec performance, rare, or even particularly exciting, but sometimes it's nice to do some low-tech, familiar rebuilding. Plus, no ball diffs to worry about, nor oil shocks, means everything is pretty simple!

Time to pull!

Well #$@*! I used this battery one time, then connected it to a cell balancer and forgot it for 2 days. Now one cell is 4.2v and the other is 0.24v. That battery is toast. Crap. No more standalone cell balancers for me.
