The first real R/C car I ever saw was my neighbors Sand Scorcher. I have always wanted one, but now I am getting more into racing again and would rather spend my money on runner parts.

Although.. it would look great next to my Re-re Frog and HotShot :P

They show them as in stock, quantity limited, and I got an item availability Email, yet my order is still listed as backordered, "Invoiced, Awaiting Product From Manufacturer"

Can you blame him? If I had a hobby shop I'd probably do the same thing. Building the Buggy Champ was some of the most fun building an r/c I've ever had. I think I'm going to get a Sand Scorcher just to keep in the box for now, then in a couple years when I get the urge, I'll build it.

It's hard fighting the urge to cut into that beautiful blister-packaging!

I'd forgotten how well presented these old Tamiya kits where - everything individually sealed in its own little clear polycarbonate compartment, on coloured card backing. Seens a real shame to have to cut them open!

Ranger.... As long as Tamiya can get the Ford licence!
