Found some old pics from the mid '90's...

Me and my homeboys Futaba FXT's we got from Tower for like $50 back in the day. Still got mine...

Image

My TA02 Promarkt Benz (still have this too but now with a Datsun 240z body) and my crazy fast Yokomo YR-4 with 2 speed. I remember getting caught running a mod motor in stock class. I had a Trinity Ruby speed gems in it and I was blowing doors on the straights. Sold chassis on the bay years ago. Stupid me.

Another TA02 with Saturn body

Image

My Kyosho TF-2 (never liked box art) I still have this car 20 years later.

Found these while at my parents house this past month. This was just after AE sent me the right shock set (my 6036 came with gold bottom loaders) circa early 1992

Howdy,

Found these and couldn't resist sharing them with everyone here.

First up: Futaba FX10, pretty much a Chrismas Day marathon build with my brother.
FX101.jpg
Next is the obligatory pic of my Blackfoot "crushing" my FX10. This pic was a pretty big deal.
Parma Body
Trinity Shocks
JG front bumper
See's directional fronts w/rattle canned rears
Blackfoot1.jpg
The TRX-T Eagle, brand new, think I had 1 or 2 battery packs through it at this point.
Eagle 11.jpg
Eagle 22.jpg
Racing it. I like to think I'm way out front, that is why no other trucks are around.
Eagle 33.jpg
Eagle 44.jpg
With awesome dye job and Toyota extra cab. Look at those flames and my homemade side dams to keep dirt out (RCCA Pit Tips) If you look closely at the gear cover......The Blue Eagle transmission upgrade! Sadly, I have no pics of the LS upgrade package I added shortly after.
Blue Eagle2.jpg
Then the TRX-1...Close to the end of the roll here and the pic is garbage. I like to think of this as a "spy shot" because I thought that car was the baddest thing around.
TRX11.jpg

That's it man. Thanks everyone else for sharing.

Mark

My 15 minutes. I remember being so fired up over the "racing trucks" vs. "monster trucks" thing that I flipped and felt I needed to throw in my $0.02. Here it is, APR '91 RCCA, Letters................

I think I posted these in a different thread. I'm guessing these are 1987-1989.

I totally agree. Looking through these pics was awesome. I think the one thing that omst of us agree on is that racing back then was wayyyy more fun, partly because of the track atmosphere, but mostly becasuse of the dirt. BRING BACK THE LOAM!!!!!
