I guess I'm not going to use mine, I could send it to you. I'm sending it from Canada, so it might be cheaper to get it at the LHS. I could just cut the front out though.bearrickster wrote:cool thanks I am not haveing any luck finding the H-parts seperately I may have to buy the whole body set just to get the lights. got to love it

Re: Formula Offroad
I tried making some headway with the paint on mine today, but ran into problems with the "Frog" tape left behind random sticky patches behind. I'm working in the field and have no GooGone, so things have come to a hault

I did get a bit done on the interior though, and one of the 4 panels made it to completion without any sticky crap left behind. Here are some pics for now.

The Land Cruiser one with the red background and white surface was pretty hard. I think the white should have a second coat

Got the interior in this morning too.

Re: Formula Offroad
Thanks, looking cooler now though
Now that the body is painted and the stickers and badges are on this is coming together quite nice. I need to pick up some extra body panel screws. There are quite a few scale accessories to get yet, such as a hi-lift jack, fire extinguisher, snatch strap, Optima batteries, etc and that should do it for small things. Big things left are CUSTOM one of a kind off road bumper with wench ($$$), custom made light bar ($$) for the brow of the windshield (or lack there of), electronics (all of them $$$). OH and once I get home, those Walker Evans beadlock wheels are going on too.

Re: Formula Offroad
Long live this thread! Awesome work to the entire lot of you guys. In the spirit of a build off, having multiple builds going on in one thread is the way to go. Looking forward to future posts. Here's to trying to get these things to get to a place like this (from the link in the first post...)
This reminds me of a snowboard or skate max vert comp, with the red gate flag representing the ruler.

Yeah. The fixed axles are too cool though. Just like 1:1, more than 1/2 the game is looking good while getting there.

Re: Formula Offroad
I'm liking the looks of the Bronco so far. I'm still away for work and will probably get home during the last week on this month. The front of my Bronco grill is a separate chrome finished plastic with clear headlights that have the bulb attachment behind the lexan. It's available if you want it by then. I would have to ditch the rest of the body without the grill since it would take too much away from it but, shipping would be cheaper if I can detach the grill pieces. I'll PM you when I get home if you still want it.
