Lipo came in the mail today. As suspected, the 148 servo needs to be swapped out. The battery fits nicely in my graphite runner with the 132 servo.
Also installed the 3300 Reedy. Just waiting on the transformer for the hand me down Racer's Edge charger. I'll probably end up buying a new charger too.

Looking good, Chris...I figured that would be a tight fit with the 148. You tried out the new motor yet?

No, but the transformer came today for the charger. I was stoked to see it fire up and ran through some of the charging options. This took a while as there were no instructions with the hand me down charger.
I did not charge the battery yet. I plan to get bullet connectors tomorrow at the LHS and make a Dean's adapter for the battery instead of modifying the battery leads. I would like the opportunity to try and return if it turns out to be DOA.
I plan to charge on a 5A 7.4V balance cycle. I still need to look at the balance plug as it appears to have multiple options, several of which appear to be the same???

How would you use bullets on a back with leads without the them is dead shorting?

If you have leads out of a pack, how will you use bullet plugs and not short out as the bounce around? (translation)
I think the "stock" bullets on the Turnigy packs are encased in a large red plastic "housing"...Like and EC3 or EC5 connector.

Stupid iPhone text prediction....

Yes, the Turnigy leads have a plastic shroud that extends beyond the connection. From the Deans connector I plan to extend one lead one inch, the other lead two inches so that they should not come into contact. Unfortunately the LHS had every bullet connector except 5.5mm. ARGH!

I'm still confused here. (It's been a long week...

) What are you having trouble with? Battery to charger, or battery to car?
I have a Turnigy charger, and the balance plug is made for different types of batteries (1S, 2S, 3S), but the plug on the battery will only fit the proper one.

The initial problem really isn't a problem. I am just trying to avoid modifying the battery female bullet connectors.
I intended to purchase male bullet connectors but find now that three LHSs don't carry 5.5mm connectors. It appears they are only used by Turnigy and Castle. I resorted to the internet... waiting for delivery.
The balance charger plug tree has five male plug options (3-7 pins). The 3 pin had a servo lead plugged in with what looks like a temp gauge. I checked after my last post and the battery balance plug fits in the 3 pin.
There is another hard wired female plug but I didn't count the number of pins. I am guessing this is for and adapter plug.

Which charger model is it? If it's the same as mine, I'll copy the instruction manual and send it to you.

Thanks Russ but it is not your charger. Racers Edge.

Thanks JK. I finally found the manual online. The charger is a 3+ year old SC2000, long discontinued.
The logo on the charger reads SCE000. The E appears exactly as the Es in RACERS EDGE. I could not find any info for a charger that does not exist!
