I hear what you guys are saying and I love the opportunity to get another nice brushed motor, but I'm not convinced it would be a quality brushed motor. The Radon 1 was a motor I refuse to collect and the Radon 2 are ok to beat on, but brushed motor construction is definitely inferior now. But a 40th anniversary 17.5 brushless? hmm.....

Even though I agree with the point you are making, I don't think "No.7, 6th Road" would have the same historical appeal as "Edinger" and "Cadillac".

Just a cheap 540 that said 40th Anniversary would've been cool for display purposes. Or including an AE 40th sticker for any motor of choice, for use or display.

Yes, HH / TH sucks and I go a long way out of my way to avoid them. I used to encourage others to join TH's member program as it really is a deal, but after my last dealing with them with a backorder, and a couple of random easily available items that they shipped two months after I requested they be canceled, nope, done with them for now and hope they get themselves straightened out.

I am glad the 40th edition has bushings. Your call if you want to add bearings. The bushings look a little more authentic to me, because nobody I knew at 10-14 years old went out and bought bearings.

Fine with no motor. Add your touch to it.

Mine's on order. But still I would have preferred an unlimited edition. I'm sick of Limited Editions, I want to run my stuff and not feel bad about it. Probably going to buy a CC chassis and build on that so I can run a fresh RC10 without guilt or scuffing the chassis. At least we got JC Racing and Fan RC making parts if AE decides to not have spares again.

Should they have worked a little more on the front alignment before taking this picture?

I get that visual effect all the time with phone pictures. The picture isn't representative of the actual buggy.

I agree on hoping they are not making it a limited edition.

I noticed with the CC chassis that the top edge around the tub is sorta sharp, not blunt like the older chassis. I'm not a fan of that difference, but it didn't stop me from buying a spare set. Building on a new chassis is nice.

Even though this is just a '96 CE, with a DS motor, I still like having the motor for display purposes.


Not sure what motor I'd put in the 40th, if I were going to keep it.

That's a nice collection you have there. I have no electric motors laying around besides a newer Kyosho, so I would take the free POS motor all day long. If it said AE on it, or 40th, someone would buy it at the very least.
