Tab! I accidentally grabbed one of those as a kid; I thought I was going to die.
Was that the product that had the "pinch an inch" commercials? The idea was that if a person could pinch an inch, they were fat and needed to drink diet soda. In America today it would have to be adjusted. Or maybe instead of pinching at the waistline we would pinch our foreheads.

I only know him from the encyclopedia commercials. I wanna say late 80s.

Don't know about the kid, but We had the full volume of World Book Encyclopedias in the den/rec room I posted about earlier in this thread. I found a picture on Amazon of them. What made this particular version so cool were all the page edges were shiny gold!
