Maybe it is just one person stirring and there's no substance to it?

Just wondered if anyone had heard anything?

I ground the ends down on mine to remedy this. My friend says the issue isn't there when using the universal shafts. I think Kyosho should have included these instead of the piece of paper telling you how they think it will be fixed by loosening the arm mounts and pulling forward on the arms while tightening which may or may not work. It didn't for me. Contacting Kyosho might be worth a go, see if they'll send out some universal shafts.
it's not the dogbone. i had it all free and working fine before it's first trip to the track. the jumps were a bit too big for the scorp, i think it's a bent pin.
i looked at it quick last night, but was prepping other cars for a trip to the track tonight.
i do have a spare arm, i'll mount that up and see, if it persists then it's the pin.

Ah fair enough, hope you can sort it easy enough.

this thing is my new "yard car". it's so much fun on grass/lawn.
it's got the weight to really dig in. i'm going to use it to cut in a small track in the back.

Are the front tyres of the rere compatible with the original sc-26?
If so do they look identical?

2.2 modern wheels for the scorpion

Hey guys,

Has anyone fitted 12mm hexs to the rear of the Scorpion and 2.2 wheels to the front.

I'd be keen to know which wheels fit so I can run some modern rubber.

Cheers

Kilroy

During my Tomahawk build, I finally realised the mistake I had made which caused my re-re Scorpions rear arms to bind. Having owned many of these chassis, I just simply assumed it should be built like my original one.

The two suspension shaft holders have a tapered end. The correct way to install them is: install the taller one with taper side up and the shorter one taper side down. Its clearly shown in the manual but I overlooked it.

It's also shown clearly in the OLD manual how to center the trans, which is what was causing my bind. After loosening and allowing everything to settle, and retightening it was perfect. Not sure why they didn't carry over the important notes from years ago
