Feeling a bit nostalgic last night. Sitting with my elderly dad while my mom attended a Christmas party. Decided to get a pic from my old bedroom window. I remember listening to "The top 10 at 10" and looking out my bedroom window at the lights around town. Amazing how little has changed in my old neighborhood

Only if the water tower was still there...also, for anyone listening, that room is where we all got the 10l ready on 10 cells with a Race Prep stock motor...we also used the Buds Analyzing Dyno in that room!....and we were listening to "Lucky Star" by Madonna

This was from Saturday night. A good portion of our team went to Rancho Cucamonga for the Toys for Tots no prep race. We had 25 of our team show up out of the 120 or so entries. We had team there from Hawaii, Arizona, Washington, Nevada, Utah annd New Mexico. Our 12 year old from Hawaii won the event and took home $5100. So proud of her and the team. I know that no prep racing isn’t for everyone but our group is a huge family and I’ve never had so much fun as I do being part of it.

Left my cousins' place pre-dawn this morning. Went with Part 1 and part 6, with part 7 as a bonus. If you zoom in you can see the second deer that I knew was inevitably following the first. November thru January they're horrible.

Went out to feed the neighbor's dog while they're in Florida. Pic may not do justice to how cool and eerie the fog is tonight.

ME: Welcome to 2023. It can't possibly be as bad as the last two years, can it?

THE UNIVERSE: Day 1 of 2023....
2023.jpg

For those that can't quite make it out, or maybe have not heard much about Australia.... this photo, taken inside my house, shows a young Redback Spider - also known as Australia's Black Widow.

To quote my Google mates: "How dangerous is a Redback spider? The bad news is that, as mentioned above, the female Redback is one of the world's most venomous spiders and one of the few spiders known to have killed humans with a bite. Its venom is highly neurotoxic – meaning it attacks the nervous system."

So yeah, Australia..... woo hoo! And if you're wondering why the photo is not up to my usual standard (and definitely not up to Thumbs' standard).... I was too busy preparing to move as far away as possible :P

Two minutes later, the spider was safely released in the park next to my house.... can't see how that could possibly come back to bite me.

Can't wait for the rest of the year now!
