B2 to B4: big technical issues ?

I am back to rc after more than 10 years.
At this time, I rebuilt my RC10 graphite what was my first racing model (quite finished).
I wanted to sell my B2 witch is in godd shape, but it's "market value" seems to be lower than the tam grasshopper!!!!
So i start thinking to make it run again for me or my sons.
My old graphite has vintage equipment, but i would like to have modern one for the B2.
So technically, and that is my question: is there any big evolutions between B2 and B4 ?
I mean other than wider arms, better settings, shocks, but more for powertrain: tranny reinforcing, drive axles, slipper ? other ?
Can a B2 assume the fastest moderns motors and cells ?

I THINK -but don't know for sure- that the B2 was the least successful (in world titles) in the ae lineup. I am not saying that it is a bad car though. I also think it was the shortest on the market.
Since even the original stealth tranny can handle todays brushless power I think you should be fine.
BTW where in the French alps do you live? I skipped this season due to knee surgery last year, but will be in the French or Italian Alps next season for sure!

The B2 won the only world title that it was contested in, 1995. For 1997 they had the B3.
You can stick B3 arms on the B2 which are the same length as B4 arms. You'll need B3 rear hub carriers though. I think the front end geometry of the B4 just gives it a bit more understeer making it easier to drive. The transmission can take anything. The slipper might have problems with really powerful motors. You could upgrade to a B3 slipper or do the B4 top shaft & slipper conversion.

I agree, the B2 was a difficult car to set up. It was replaced fast by he B3. I had one, but it was my last racing car and I sold it a long ago.
But the powertrain were the same for both cars.
You confirm my opinion, B2 should accept modern motors.
Chewbacca: For your last question, as a "off topic", I leave in Saint Michel de Maurienne, 6 km far from Val Thorens ski resort station and 15 km far from Valloire, the ski village of Jean Baptiste Grange, the new slalom world champion.
If you want to stay at my home for next year, don't forget to carry with you all your RC stuff!
In my case, I only come to dusseldorf for work...(automotive industry)

off topic alert!
In France I've been to the Mt. Blanc region, Portes du Soleil (France & Swizerland), and to Valmorel quite often. Hey I'm also in the automotive industry, do you come over here often?

sorry i don't live in france.. LOL but to answer your question on the B2, YES it can handle whatever motor and battery combo you can throw at it. i have one that started with a 27T, then i put a 19T, 17T and now a 10.5 Brushless. the 10.5 is OVERKILL. so it is back to the 19T, it can handle it much better.
