I had 2 brand new stock ones, that I had picked up at the LHS. One for the runner and and for the shelf car. Well today, my runner took one good tumble and the gear cover split. Never had that happen until now. My question is, what is everyone else using? Did RPM make a cover for the earlier cars? (I swear I tought I had one for my 10T years ago, but I may just be dreaming it)If they did make them, how hard are they to find?

for a runner I don't use any gear cover, I like living on the edge
seriously though most of my runners don't have any covers and I've not had a problem. I suppose in very sandy conditions it may be important, but I've found that many of the covers don't seal all that well.

you are lucky you got a good price on it. About a year ago I was selling them for about $30. the RPM is a really stout cover, much stronger than the lexan ones

check out racer8838 on ebay he has some clear lexan covers for the rc10 gold tubs. I have purchased a few and they are already to go no trimming just have drill or ream the screw holes.
