I've been buying Bigwig parts tress, screw bags and parts for a while now,so I could build a BigWig out of all new parts.
Well,as we all know, things don't always go as planned and I had an itch to build it.
So,I had at it last night.
Please excuse the second hand wheels/tires and shocks.
Still waiting for a Press Parts Bag (roof) and a speed control.
Aaah well, here it is...Please let me know what ya think!
Gotta bolt the antenna's on...

Wow that looks great. I built one for a customer back in the day. The rack and pinion steering was a cool setup.

Thanks,shodog
The rack and pinion steering actually works pretty well!
I bought a few parts cars,too-I must have enough used, tidy parts to build almost two BigWigs, here.

No,I sold it not long after I finished it.
I just built it for the hell of it!
Got NZ$650 for it,the guy who bought it bought a NIP Bigwig body set to go on it and he's a happy guy.

Oh,I never posted photos of the finished car!
I planned to paint it box art,but I somehow got blue overspray on the 'white' part.
That got me really...upset!
A friend siad "just paint it blue",so that's what I did.
Here you go...

I'm a fan of the original colors but the full blue looks pretty good too. Nice job on the build and on the price you got for it!

Even though it's a bit funny on a completely sci-fi-looking car, you gotta love Tamiya's attempt at realism with the molded exhaust pipes, motor and air intake scoop.
