i have an ultima xl turned into a hybrid of some sort. with a triumph gear box. I bought triumph rims to put on an ultima front axle.the axle seems to be a tad long for the triumph rim.any suggestions.will a triumph front axle be shorter, will a triumph front axle work with the ultima hub? should i just put washers to make up the differance on the ultima front axle?any help /suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I didn't know about this difference.
If you have shouldered bearings that would work I'd use those. They would sit a little wider on the rim and help kepp thrim straight a bit.(try with one on the inside first, then see if you got enough space left to do the outside one too)
Or just use washers and be done with it cheap. You can always claim it is your trick to have an adjustable front width

The triumph front axles a little bit shorter than the standard ultima axles. I beleive the triumph's extra long arms cause the the car to be too wide with the standard ultima wheels. So that's why the triumph wheels are narrower (between the bearings).
The triumph axles will work with the stock ultima steering blocks and hinge pins. You can just put spacers on the ultima axles.

Yup the triumph shafts are shorter I use a spare bearing on the inside of my ultima shafts it makes it a bit wide but I like the way it handles

anything thin enough to fit and not touch the outer ring of the bearing would be ok.

That thing sounds like its ready to blast off into space on your video, lots of power. Are the front shocks the same length as the rear shocks on those buggies? Looks nice and fun.

I don't remember if Kyosho ever made a stadium truck version of the triumph... Just thinking the shocktower and long shocks might be from the truck version. But if memory serves me right, there was no truck between the ultima and pro-x trucks. Anybody who knows for sure?

I'm pretty sure there was no Triumph truck too. There were Ultima based trucks and a Pro-X truck, but that's it.
