i purchased a rpm 10t off eBay, missing some rpm parts, even though they guy said every thing was rpm,
it was completely covered in red clay.. even the shock oil was red... eww... but i got what i wanted, a rpm ultra truck that wasn't so nice that i could not use it.

after a ton of scrubbing and some new parts it was nice and clean.. and then my imagination went bizzerk when i found a trinity purple 10t screw set on eBay.....
then i wanted to anodize everything i could purple- so....
I located a local anodizing company that had purple in their line up, it took a crap load of phone calls... all day actually
I cleaned up every thing i had real nice, grained every thing that was scratched with 600 grit sand paper and drove 2 hours to the anodize place.... 3 days later i got my parts back..... and here are the pics, the bracket on the shock tower is for a speed control.
-i also decided on a t4 body.. since this will be a runner

wild!

How are the shocks work after the re-anodizing? Any rubbing on the internals, or leaking?

they work just fine, i was worried about that too, but the anodize'er assured me the material dimensions would not change, they were right.. the parts are spot on...

Too cool!

I love the aluminum treatment & the carbon fiber flames!

Was the anodizing expensive?

55 to dye and 30 to strip
it was 55 per color ''lot''
i had 16 parts ........ that wasn't near the maximum for a minimum lot, they said i could have had 3x that many parts and it still would have been 55 ........

I should have been clearer: the anodizing wasn't my main worry: it just changes the characteristics of the top layer of material. What worried me more was the removal of the old anodizing.

Anyway, glad it works out well; it really looks top notch and unique
