LOSI "Multiple Builds". Builds finally started Dec 2009!

Welcome to my "Forgot how many parts I had" and " I think I need those bits" - build chronicles.

After a good five years of gathering all the Losi JRX parts I could manage, I have finally decided that enough is enough...I just have to build some so I know where the heck I am up to!

I have had a long affiliation with Losi, I really enjoyed driving the product. I have sourced these parts from all over the world, however, I did get a reasonable amount here is Australia. I hope to build at least one Standard JRX Pro - as per the performance kit. I also am going to build a SMOKIN Modified JRX Pro as well - I have manged to acquire a few period hop ups over the years - so it should be a nice car. Also I hope to be able to have enough left to build an original JRX2. All cars will be totally new built from parts. on top of this - I will be restoring several "runner" cars as well. You will note my favourite enduro winner and vintage runner Jrx Pro in the pics - she is going to get a full rebuild too. The last 4 hour enduro really wore out some parts!

Heres a few pics of the "bits n peices" to get us started:

Dont drool yet! It's not the complete untouched kit (although I have the parts to do it - watch the build!)..
This box holds some cool contents though....

Delicious hopped up goodness...

I just cant keep all this stuff anymore - so the Losi stuff is getting done first. After the builds are complete and the runners are ready, a few essential parts for runners will be saved and the rest will be up for sale.

Hopefully you guys will enjoy this as much as I am going to!

Thanks for looking

Darryn

WOW, very nice stock pile of parts. I thought my stock pile was big!! I have a tone of parts to support my vintage Losi fleet, I too have been accumulating parts from all over the world. I am away from home now for a another week and half, when I get home I will post some pictures of what I have accumulated. You say you are looking for stock bell cranks? I may, just may have an extra set, I know I have another chassis that's in good shape. Maybe we could arrange some kind of trade?? I am looking for gear covers and stock wheels/tiers. I have a wheels, but I don't have any original tiers to go with them. When I get home I will post some pictures and maybe we can work something out.

LOL - thats what I have on hand for the builds!! There is more in boxes that I have multiple of!

As soon as I am done - I will try and sort out what parts are left over into a list - and I will make them available here first.

Just gotta find the time now to build all this stuff!

Cheers

Darryn

Wow, that would be cool to build all those cars from scratch. I am jealous like everyone else, lol. I will be watching of course.

Also, keep me in mind if you have any light orange wheel sets?

How come your not running the long front shocks that originally came with the JRX-Pro? Or at least from the picture it looks like you have the shorter SE shock tower installed.

I have run this car alot and have found that this mid shock length set up works the best compromise between rough and smooth (ish) track handling. The long front shocks were VERY rarely used - even by the team guys, as they were of no real advantage on all but the most severely rutted tracks.

I have made some small progress on the builds, however I have so much else going on at the moment I havent had a chance to take pics. Should be able to do so this time next week....I forgot how much stuff I had.

Cheers

Looks to be the same 'ahead of it's time' on the rear shocks too. Rear shocks mounted behind the shock tower SE style.

Actually the rear shocks are mounted like that prior to the SE, some one correct me if I am wrong.
