JRX2 Side by Side: Erich R. vs. Bluegroove

I thought you might be interested in a side by side comparo of these two JRX2 bodies. I purchased the Team Bluegroove body after realizing I was too late to get one of Erich's. I must admit the cost kind of put me off as well. But, as things have a way of happening, I made a recent purchase of a JRX2 that came with one of Erich's bodies, so now I have them both. To begin with, Erich's body is much lighter Lexan than the Bluegroove unit. That is not a bad thing. Erich's is much more in line with mass produced bodies while the TB body is heavy gauge, almost rubbery in feel. Erich's body is crisp and well defined although the window and windshield markings are less pronounced than the competition. Since I didn't cut Erich's body I can't address the cut lines but the Team Bluegroove cut lines are indistinct and appear to wander around a bit. That is only a minor issue though. Where Erich's body shines through is the clarity of the plastic. It's industry standard in my opinion while the TB body has stretch marks and even bubbles in places. In conclusion I would not recommend the Team Bluegroove body for a shelfer but it may be superior for a runner because of it's thickness. Anyway, here's a few shots I took before my camera battery crapped out.

Pretty soon you'll have a 3rd to compare.

Awe man, another one?!?!? lol
I agree on the TB one, it is thick, the lines are indistinct, and it has a few bubbles. Cost to comparison makes up for it in my book though. I also do like the thickness of the TB one.
Mine is shelfer and I am not disappointed in any way with it.

Comparable in price, plus a few extras, and you all know my quality. No pressure from this side, you all can make the decision.

Will you be doing the JRX Pro 8003 body also?

Hopefully in about two weeks, assuming I don't get consumed by work. If it wasn't for work, they'd be out by now.

Cool, I may as well have one of yours as well! I seem to have accumulated enough chassis (what is the plural anyway

) for a small fleet...

How often have I not "put up"...... I am not one to say I am going to do something then not (not saying it hasn't happened, I am not perfect..... but it doesn't happen often).

Wrong thread I know, but since we are always throwing repro ?'s in these threads - what about a T?

i hope you body guys get together and discuss who is planning on doing what bodies. i just don't see the need to have say 4 guys making a stock jrx2 body. obviously...... that's just my opinion. you can do what you want.
