Rule one if she is not happy you are not happy. :( I am not happy I dyed some parts black in a pot and did not tell her . I have been in the dog house for two days now. So me and the pot are are out in the garage dying some more parts. And yes we did make up . :D cost me a set of new pots. I have one thing to say ask before you do anything!!!!just ask if not or there will be hell to pay. :( :( :(

i get my dye pots from the 99cent store, they sell the really crappy aluminum sauce pots for like 1.19 usually, throw em out when im done. let the dye sit in em too long, and it eats through the aluminum lol, keep it in a glass jar for another day

It's easier to get rid of the wife, that way if you want to dye on the stove or work on the kitchen table you can.

Yeah I did the same thing mikedealer did, got a set of pats from the 99c store that way I dont have to worry about messing up the wiffees' I also dye the stuff in my garage, that way I dont mess up the stove top. I basically clamp the handle of the pot into my vice and put a blow torck underneath to heat the water "suuupafast"

Boy, are you guys whipped!  Around here I use any pot I like and use the oven for powder coating ... I'm also single ...

Just Kidding!! Ya gotta keep the women folk happy! I usually pick up stuff from thrift stores for cheap when I need a special pot or something in the shop. One of the more unusual things is probably the iron that I use for installing self stick edge banding on shelves and end caps on formica counter tops. The girlfriend wanted a new one anyway, so she got a new iron and I got a new toy in the shop!

Years ago I bought a cheap pot at Kmart for dying. Recently, I saw the wife using it for her crafts. LOL!

HEAR HEAR!! You have to choose your battles let 'em win occaisionally, if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull. Then when all that fails get her hooked on your hobby the E-Maxx I bought for Mrs Burner did wonders for her attitude. If I want somethong cool I just get a little bit of bling for her E-Maxx and she is easier to smooth over. Life is easy and she actually lets me catch her when I chase her around the house... sometimes.
