Newbie restoring 2 Vintage RC10s

Hi all,

I'm a newbie to this forum, based here in good old blighty (that's the other side of the pond). I've recently bought myself an original RC10 and an original RC10 CE both of which are in mint/unused condition. I always wanted one of these cars when I was a kid but could never afford one and had to make do with my Tamiya Fox (which, at the age of 11, was still pretty cool!).

Anyway, I plan to rebuild both RC10s so that I can have the build experience first hand. Then looking forward to running them as I've never driven one before. 2 questions (any help would be much appreciated):

1. how do I restore the whiteness to the white plastic parts? They are a little yellowey and I'd like to bring them back to looking like new...

2. Tecnacraft wheels: I've seen many restorations/new builds with these wheels and they look awesome. However, where the hell can I buy them....they seem to be like gold dust?

Any help re the above, much appreciated!

Thanks.

Welcome! Do a search for a thread on whitening parts, it's been covered several times. Unfortunately, nothing really works 100 percent. Still there are a variety of products that can help. The Tecnacraft wheels are like gold dust. Check e-bay often or perhaps someone here might have a set. When you have reached 25 posts you can get into the buy-sell-trade area.
