What is this thing?

Hey guys, I recently bought a box of parts for a kyosho outrage. In the box was a complete chassis minus 1 wheel and body. It shares most parts with the outrage, well most parts bolt on the outrage anyway. I believe it is an Ultima Outlaw. Now the good stuff. There is ultima pro fiberglass chassis pieces in the box also. Also there is a complete rear assembly and a chassis and misc. pieces for a 4wd car. The old man I got everything from said he thought it's a kyosho but he can't remember what it is. I included some pics to show. Please help me with any info on either vehicle. Thanks

quite a mixture but mostly recognizable as kyosho indeed. The 4wd parts are for the slingshot: dirt oval racer with common parts to the optima and optima mid. the 2wd could be an outlaw or tracker and shares parts with the ultima:.

PS: the parts in the bags: what partnr have they? You can often guess from the 2 letters what car they originally were designed for.
OT is anything in the line of optima and mid, TR is triumph, /UM ultima BS burns...

PPS: one of the topdecks is an ultima pro or turbo ultima part

My internet wasn't working last night. The new parts that I have are #'s xr10h (front shock stay) and fd4 (final differential case). No idea what they are for.

Too bad they don't sell them anymore. I am always curious what hobby stores have vintage rc's laying around in the back of a storage room somewhere and have no idea.

The best way is to just look up what hobby shops are within whatever radius you are willing to drive, then go visit and talk up the guy behind the counter. I found a nib rc10 graphite about 5 years ago for $50! I only found out about it b/c I was talking to the owner, he said they used to have a dirt oval. I said I always had luck with the graphite rc10 on dirt ovals. He had me follow him to his storage shed about 20 miles away and he had 3 tq10's and a bunch of other stuff. He was happy to get rid of that box, I called him up a few months ago and he actually thanked me for giving him the thought to put all that stuff on Ebay and he pretty much cleared out that shed.

There are still some "barn finds" to be had out there, if you go look for them

Too bad you didn't pick up every one of the TQ-10's!

Mr ed thanks. So basically I have a bunch of parts for several different vehicles. Alright now I have to find other parts to try and get this thing together.

Mark-I have tried that. Most of the hobby shops around me are fairly new or have already cleared out everything on ebay. Plus we just don't a lot of shops around here and even fewer tracks.
