I tried finding the thread to add to it but if you search for the words in my title you get ALOT of stuff so gonna throw this out in here. Anyone interested in getting some carbon fiber made with a 30 degree kickup on it? He also has the ability for a 20degree kickup like in the ultima/optima areas. I have bought quite a few of his panels in flat stock before and am very happy with quality and workability of his stuff. Anyway, if there is any interest you can drop me a pm or reply and we can go from here. Later.
Todd
p.s. if there is a better suited part of the forum that this would work in and the mods wouldn't mind moving it there I'd be greatly appreciative

I was thinking to ask the company that makes those new dyna-storm parts. if they are not made on order, I would standardize by making sheets long enough to have a kick-up at either side: 30 degrees for 2 wd creations and 10 or 15 degrees at the other end for 4 wd creations.
I have to ask the same question though: what's the asking price roughly?

I will have some more info soon on price and shipping and looks. I had missed a call last night and he left a message that he called but no info on it. I talked to him an hour or so the night before and he has made 'scratch' chassis for Bart's and some others but was going to look thru his stash to see what he had 'laying around' to see if we could help each other out by a lower price for something he wanted to move anyway even though he stayed away from giving out pricing...I think his partner does most of the selling/pricing while he does the hands on part. He has tooling to make for either an rc10 or a kyosho and found a 20degree kickup piece while I was on the phone with him but he was going to do some more digging for some 30degree kickup. When he makes this special order stuff it will come out in sheets of approx. 24"x16"(13-3/4"x2" kickup). I'd have to cut it down to width on my tablesaw for chassis width so whatever we could get for interest. Could be sprinter chassis or standard width rc10 or wider. Will pry have to figure out a price by the inch width...now to get back in touch with him so the ball can get rolling.
will drop the info I get asap here to let you guys know what we can do.

i would be in for like 2 sheets of 30 degree and 2 sheets of 20 degree if this is going to happen. i would try to find out from your guy if the sheets are quasi undirectional carbon fiber. that is the best type of weave pattern to use when building chassis it provides the best combo of flex and rigidity.

waiting for a return call as I type this...been playing phone tag with him since friday night. When you say sheet does this mean the whole sheet of 24 inches wide? This isn't going to be cheap by any means so once I get prices I'll post the info in here. Will pry go by inches wide of chassis if anyone is interested in chassis 'blanks' that way a sprint car chassis will be cheaper than a 'regular' chassis. Will ask about your question on direction wyldbill about pattern. He has made these for other people and companys so I'm sure he will know what is best for the application but will get a definite answer for you. Talk again soon.

do you mean Dave? If so, he said he will do a 3k or a 1k in gloss either way but waiting for pix right now of what he has and can do for sure before I say for sure what he can do but it looks like what the dimensions would be close to. At this time I have a $350 price tag for a sheet that size which brings it out to approx. $14.59 and inch so say a sprint car chassis would be approx. 4 inches wide and a reg. chassis approx. 6 inches wide. If the measurements are off feel free to correct me on this. This would be for a 'blank' chassis that you would have to cut to your own shape and drill for your application. As I said above I'm waiting for pix that I can share up here so if anyone is still interested drop a line in here and it will get to my email inbox one way or another.
