Nate won the Losi late model I think... and he bought one of the Expert Built Hornets that I had.

Oh ok, so Jeff won the Frog,
and Scr8p won the Pumpkin, right??
Either way, Nate just confirmed, he's coming back this year, so that's another car for "Classics Class"
We're gonna have a full "Classics Class" this year, maybe enough for two mains.

I was looking forward to meeting you Jay, I guess you'll have to come by the indoor track this winter. I'll make you race my RC10 or SC10, your choice

Bummer dude. Any time work gets in the way of a good RC race, it sucks. But you gotta keep a roof over your head and food on the table... Your efforts will be missed!

Have not read through the complete thread, so please excuse me if this has already been answered.
Is it possible to only show up for Sunday? I live in Massachusetts and would like to limit the amount of driving.
Thanks,
ED

I think they're gonna hold some qualifiers and all the Mains on Sunday, so I thing you should be good if you show up on Sunday.
Erich,
Confirm or Deny???

Re: 2009 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS OFFICIAL THREAD• SEPT 18-20TH
That part is really up to John and Mark to tell you the truth. I believe last year we did qual's on Sat and one last round of Qual on Sunday and then the mains but I could be wrong. Like I said, more of a decision of the nice young men running the race. The only issue I could see is time. If there are a lot of heats running a round on sunday might not work as we'd be there late sunday night.

Re: 2009 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS OFFICIAL THREAD• SEPT 18-20TH
I agree with Erich-- it's their show. But last year was tight on Sunday to get people back on the road especially for an event that was advertised as a 3 day affair. It sounds like classes other than 2wd may have multiple heats this year too, so that would just lengthen the day.
The race directors get to make these decisions
, but I would prefer to see more time for the mains on Sunday... maybe 2 quals on Saturday and one on Sunday for the folks who can't make it Sat?? That way Sunday can have a small morning practice, a round of quals and the mains and give time for the raffles and the judging. My 2 cents... you can put them back in the "Take a Penny" tray if you'd like.
Edit: In case anyone misunderstands, I am not remotely trying to tell anyone how to run this... just chiming in because based on what I'm hearing we may have more heats this year.

Re: 2009 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS OFFICIAL THREAD• SEPT 18-20TH
I remember we finished about 4pm last year which to me was a good time to finish up. Still a good days worth of fun but not too late either. I think its something Mark will assess and decide on once we have heats laid out. They do a fantastic job of running races there and I have every bit of faith in them doing that this year too. I wish I had a better answer for you Sonic but I don't.
