New Losi XX

So I bought a body that was supposed to be for my JRX-Pro off of ebay a while back, and it turns out it was for a XX. Instead of sending it back to the guy I kept it and found a XX off of ebay that was in pretty good shape. Its pretty much all stock which is what I wanted, with the clear lexan wheel disks. Here are a few pictures..
It does look like it was either left out in the rain, or ran through water because most of the screws and ball studs are rusted. So guess I'll be looking for a screw kit for this.
Also I want to remove the hydradrive and just use the slipper. Can anyone tell me what parts I need to do this?
Thanks!

parts needed depends on what is on there now. if built according to the instructions it should have a thrust bearing on there, which is completely useless on the hydra other than acting as a spacer.
The spring is different beteween the 2, but both are included in the kit:

if you also need the thrust bearing it is here:

That body looks great!

Humm, appears to be a fairly early XX, from Hobby Stop West.... Holy Toledo, I think I've raced against that car before, it does look somewhat familiar.
Yep, don’t remember exactly, but it’s should be pretty easy to drop the Hydra. Hard to be sure, but I think the thrust bearing is on there. And you can even fake the spring by screwing the nut way on, or possibly adding something as a shim.
If you have trouble I can dig up the appropriate manuals.
Nice score, enjoy!

Isn't that place in Sylvania, just outside of Holy Toledo?

No...it will not fit the Pro. Tt sits up too high and looks goofy. I only payed $35 for this XX so it wasnt a bad deal. I am beginning to think I'm never gonna find a body for the Pro unless I sign my soul away or something...

Sylvania Avenue, but still in Righteous Toledo. For those not aware, Toledo is something of a traditional hot spot for RC, with one of the bigger long time annual conventions, 1/8 onroad club, yada yada.
Back when that car was new it was on Monroe I believe. One of my favs in the day, good selection and prices, nice balance between the fly guys and car nuts, something not all shops managed. I used to frequent it when I traveled a lot between Ohio and Michigan on business.
I just recently learned of the passing of Lester, the long time owner, a few years back. We got along well, I was allowed to just walk in behind the counters and grab away. Rest in Peace buddy.
Also the home shop of the top regional Losi driver. The only regional guy to get the parts for a proto LXT before the ’91 ROAR Nationals. And the guy who later got me a conversion kit ahead of normal release time. I was King of the Mountain for a week, lapped ‘em all!!!
Sorry for rambling on, brings back some sweet memories.

Sorry, I couldn't remember.... I thought it was a suburb of Toledo. Been to that shop a couple times myself. Only been to Weak Signals once... it was OK. I missed the hay days of ole, but heard plenty about them.

Unfortunately, the only way to get that body to fit without hacking up something (body or rear shock tower) would be to use the pro SE or junior 2 rear shock tower.

Super easy to drop the Hydra-you can either run a single disc slipper,or a twin.
For the twin, use a XX4 spur gear and slipper backing plate, for the single, you've already got all the parts there, all you need to do is to install a shorter top shaft and you're rockin'.

Umm, wait.
I thought that if carefully cut out, the XX body was a good fit for the JRX-pro.
But if I understand correctly from here, the Pro SE rear tower is needed for a good fit?
Is anyone running the XX body on a standard JRX2 / T rear tower? How badly do you have to cut up the body?
I'm asking because I have one in the mail(!).
I want to know if I need to source a Pro SE rear tower ...
