How the heck do you set up an avatar?

Is there a setting on my camera that I have to work on?

I can't seem to get anything to work...

max avatar size is 130 (width) x 400 (height). so, you'll need to resize your pic to fit into those parameters. also, the file size can be no larger than 8kb... or something like that.
