Caution: wet paint! (baja champ body goes godzilla style)

Finished 4 bodies last week, and 3 more this week!
I found some netting and wanted to try a trick to get a lizard skin-look; something I had read about years ago.
This cheap body seemed perfect for the experiment.
First I did the metalic black; to have some place to attach the netting to. Unfortunately , the piece I had wasn't very flat and didn't stick close to the body. After the first coat of green on the central line I could already tell the mask wasn't working. because it was not sitting close enough to the body the paint just went under the mask and the pattern never showed.
As I had nothing too loose I decided to try something different: sprayed some candy blue over it and pressed the netting into the wet paint. because the green had dried too long already it only worked partially, but it worked well enough to keep going. Tried some pearl white in the mix and backed it al up with black: LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES!
I repeated the same procedure for the sides, but started with yellow and immediately pressed the pattern on the wet paint. Then some candy blue, press, fluo green, press, remove the netting and finished off with black.
Much better result much due also to the bulged shape of the area; which greatly helped the netting to stick close to the body and effectively act as a mask: Overall I like the outcome: simple and clean AND different from the usal spray can job
