HI
Just got a rc10t and been working in it(soon as I get a few things done will get some pics up of it) and I was windering if some nice fella had one of the carbon fiber stealth tranny braces handy and could trace it so I can make one or if anyone knows a source? Also how about gear covers? I found the guy on ebay that does the 6 gear covers which I need as well for my rc10 project.
AE should follow Tamiya and do some rereleases
Thanks for any help.

Hello and welcome!

There is a guy here who was selling decent repros of several carbon fiber parts, including the stealth tranny brace, on eBay:

http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=8876&hilit=carbon+fiber

The real ones, in used or good used condition, can be found occasionally on eBay as well. Both Cline Hobbies and Valkyrie Hobbies have listed them previously.

I personally don't care for stock or stock-style gear covers at all, and prefer to use the RPM gear covers, which are available as normal and "hydra" models. The hydra model was larger, for fitting a Losi Hydradrive viscous slipper clutch under it. The RPM Hydra covers seem to be more prevalent than regular, but they both pop up on the 'Bay from time-to-time, and usually they are used.

Hope this helps! Good luck and happy hunting!

Thanks for those. I to like the RPM covers but I check pretty often on ebay for stuff and have yet to see one of those, maybe contact RPM and see if they got some laying around still 8)
I have some carbon fiber here why if someone had one of the braces and could get a trace of it or worse case even a pic of one and maybe I can take a shot making one off that :?

here is a pic of a CF brace lifted of ebay. You could just use a stock plastic brace as a template for the holes, then shape the piece as you see fit.
I made one out of fiberglass this way, works well.

I don't think he currently has any on eBay right now. Unfortunately, when you click on those links for his old auctions, it doesn't say what his seller id is, and I don't have his seller id saved in my saved sellers section.

Why don't you send Atlas a pm?

I have made a few braces from scrap carbon fiber. I may have to make a few more for my two restore builds.
