The Big Math Arrived...

5 days ahead of schedule, the from X Factory showed up on my doorstep. :D
Went (apart and) together like a breeze, but then I got totally stumped as fas as paint went.
Just messed around with some masking tape, until I found the right lines and painted it in what have become my race colours.
I started the paint at 11:00pm and shot the photos of the finished body just as the sun rose at dawn.
Looks space aged next to my T2!
Don't even get me started on how nice this is to drive,I am just amazed at how well it handles and how quick it is.
My expectations were very high,as I own an X-6 also, but this blew me away.
It's just so dialed it's not even funny.
Thankyou,Mr. Kinwald! :D

I like that chassis and the paint turned out sweet. What body is that?

Thanks man.
Came out alright for an all nighter, huh?
The chassis is even sweeter than the X-6 chassis, the truck is Brian Kinwald's pet project and it shows.
The laser cut carbon fibre battery strap and rear shock tower are gorgeous.
The body, like all of X Factory's,came from the mad scientist himself at JCONCPTS.
You can buy the body by itself from X Factory, but because it's designed for a mid motor chassis, the only other trucks it'd probably fit would be nitro powered...

Here's some better detail of the 4 gear, mid motor Stealth tranny, the awesome laser cut battery brace and 4mm rear tower.
The tower was copied from a handmade one that Kinwald cut out of carbon fibre with a dremel and man,it looked perfect!
Managed to mangle the head of one of the battery post screws,'cause I was a fool and didn't tap the hole first.
B44 FT thumb screws comin' up.

Recognise your old T4,Joey?! :P :D

Cool truck. I've been on again/off again thinking about getting one of these kits for my T4.

BTW, great paint too. Simple and distinctive.

You'll be happy with her.... I got to see first hand the truck in testing phase... VERY capabale...

X factory's new chassis' are right up there if not better with AE or Losi's as far as quality goes.

gregm-Don't hesitate dude, order one up for yourself.
I went out and got a donor T4 before the kit was even released,'cause I knew how good it'd be.
I am over the moon with this thing, one drive and you know you did the right thing!

I think they really need to make a SC10 length chassis. I would definatly buy one.

It's been talked about!
Could quite possibly be on the cards,in the future.
I think I'll buy a J CONCEPTS J-82 kit and see how the two kits work! :P

I think I see the front arms...the rest is all X factory...Its okay, little Jake loves his Slash, and I now have 2 XX4s and the X5^2, it is an awesome wheeler for sure!

I have always like X factory, I am just not much into 2wd truck anymore, I've been hooked on Short Course for a while now.

Yep,the Short Course thing is huge, right now.
A mate of mine finally folded to my nagging and sold his Traxxas Slush RTR and bought an SC10.
He loves it. 8)

I love the way the electronics are laid out in the X-60's.
I'm running a Castle Sidewinder in mine and it fit SO perfectly...

I got to see the preproduction x60 also, its a very nice piece and the Sinclair family do a great job on all their cars. They actually care about their customers and go out of their way to help the family out.

I contacted Paul Sinclair right after I got my SC10 to see if they were looking into making a short course chassis. He and his father both told me right now there are no plans to make another mold for a longer chassis. They are still a very small company with 2 fulltime employees (just Chazz and his son Paul), I might get a conversion in a few months along with an extra chassis to stretch it out for SC. The problem is making a mount for the rear bumper, The truck at the nats this year was built by a team drivers father who machined a mount for it. Who knows, if enough people ask for it maybe they will jump in and make one. But that would only push their new 4wd car back even further.

I can't say enough good things about Chazz and X Factory's standard of customer service redefines the term.
I know if I have a problem,I can call Chazz up and he'll always has the time to help me work it out.
The rear bumper mount was the main point Chazz mentioned as being a problem for an SCX-60,but I'm sure they could get around it.
I still like my stadium trucks. :D
I've always been in favour of function over form and all the extra stuff like the mudflaps etc on the short course trucks is just dead weight,to me.
Sure, they look cool, but all that scale detail can also make them look like toys.

maybe with the mid motored losi strike coming out, a mid motor friendly rear bumper will be easy to source...then just stretch the chassis like the few 10Ts on here and my LX-SC-T.

I REALLY like the looks of the X Factory kits. I have a b4 that would make the perfect donor for the project. Not a huge Truck fan, but the new X60t looks promising as well.

I've sorta followed the X60 thread on RCtech. If money weren't so tight, id get one. I'm looking forward to your review of the truck and how well it performs.
