American RC Manufacturers...

I was trying to think of any American RC companies who actually still manufacture their parts and cars in the US...And I'm coming up short, here!
One I can think of is X Factory...And that's it!
Even they only make conversion kits, not complete kits.
Or that it? You tell me?!
Duratrax,maybe?

Losi/Horizon Hobby-Chinese made.
Associated/Thunder Tiger-Chinese made.
Traxxas-Taiwanese made.
HPI/Hot Bodies-Chinese made.
Axial? Their ad says "Designed in the USA"-Scratch them off the list!
Trinity-Mexican made

The great attraction to Associated cars, when I was a young'un,was that they were American made, not Chinese or Japanese, like the Tamiya's I was stuck with because of cost.
Back then,American made meant QUALITY.
What are we left with?
This saddens me... :?

Castle Creations, MIP
Tekin and Novak too maybe?

Losi tyres still have Made in USA moulded into the sidewalls? They're the cheapest tyres around so Proline must have a big profit margin.

JPS
ESP
New Era

All make Clodbuster and other monster truck parts, among other parts. My Clodbuster with it's JPS axles, wheels and John Boyer chassis is about 75% made in USA.

I would seriously doubt that Duratrax is made in the US, or that it was ever made here.

Add MIP to the list. http://www.miponline.com/MIP/About.html

The first few have you covered, they all make complete kits:

Customworks, Hyperdrive, Clandra Racing Concepts, Putnam, Thundertech

But nothing RTR or geared towards bashers(except for maybe the Thundertech truck), The domestics are for racing.

Can't say I've heard of most of those companies,Custom Works & CRC I have-they make mostly 1/12th scale cars,huh?
I just wish Losi and Associated still manufactured their cars in the good ol' USA.
American made said 'Quality',for so many years...Not that I'm implying that it still doesn't,but you get the point. 8)
I guess the economy is to blame...When did AE sell to Thunder Tiger?
That was a blow... :(

They sold out 4 or 5 years ago, when AE started making a bunch of RTR's

Anyone know what as the last pre-Thunder Tiger kit that Associated made?
The B3/T3 maybe?
I love that my T2 is the last AE car to use an alloy tub. :D
That thing is atom bomb proof.

Actually all that I mentioned do make complete kits, designed & manufactured in the USA, Putnam is a component co only, but they are all oval cars, (except Darrin @ Ttech)
