There is a SUPER clean one right around the corner from me with less miles and it's a NC rig, so no rust--it's only a little more cash-

I was just about to move this thread to the wanted section

Thats a cool ride. Out here in Cali bodies last longer and you see lots of vintage Land cruisers, Jeeps and Broncos.

a socal photographer friend of mine has a SWEET baja type bronco he's building up. its so clean, it literally looks like a brand new factory race truck from the early 70's.

i dont mind the rust. obviously i would prefer a mint one, but this one i would have to park on the street anyway since the garage is full.

he sent me more pics and the thing is pretty clean other than the rust along the bottoms of the doors. looks like it hasnt been cleaned in ages, but its still relatively clean, which is good.

my only concern is it has 200,000 miles... but i hear them toyotas run forever. from the craigs description it seems like the owner kept it up pretty good.

If you look at it from the standpoint that if it wouldn't have been broke, you never woulda built it to begin with. If you transfer that to this new rig, take it for what it's worth, with the knowledge that it's likely a piece of junk that you'll have to rebuild before it's drivable. The bright side is that you've still got the Zuk and the Fire Chicken, so even if this project takes a while, you've got daily drivers covered. 8)

i dunno why it was flagged, but he re-listed in another craigslist ad:
http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/cto/1348211408.html

i'm supposed to look at it tomorrow, but i think i might bail. i got plenty of time to find something, i certainly dont want to end up with another 'project'...

if there is a list in the window or something sure. i dunno if i could afford the time to travel to get a rig though.

i went ahead and sent the seller an email saying i wasnt going to go look at it. i just started thinking about getting another vehicle and honestly dont know yet if i want one or not, so i dont want to rush into buying the first one i look at. and i would probably buy that thing if i looked at it...

i also just bought tires and a battery for the firebird to get it ready for the trip to the nats, so thats another factor.
