Today has been obe of those famous days, both batteries on my RV are dead (and only one will charge :? ) the 79' Jeep wagoneer battery is also dead, as is my riding lawnmower  --I spent (4) hours tring to fix a running toilet in our guest bathroom ( still to no avail) it's been
13 hrs since I got up--and all I've done is spend $300 on stuff that didn't fix any of the problems I was trying to fix

Ouch. It's pouring at Reg's house!

It was one of those (or my) days for me.

Start the morning out on the right track getting exactly what I planned done, then my boss walks in at 1000 because one of the execs gets one of those hairs up you own what, re-directs me, we spend all day talking about it and get no where, then says as you were at 1630 and says you should have just done what you had planned today. UGH!

When it rains it pours...literally! Same day for me guys. We get done pouring 65 yards of concrete on a roof and that 20% chance of rain turned into a torential downpour of 2 inches of rain in a half hour just before putting the broom finish to it...told the engineer that some people pay ALOT of money for exposed agregate concrete but we wouldn't charge him any more  ...my bosses don't think I'm funny

Glad :D , or sorry :| , but your right 65 yds of exposed agregate  , intended or not is a ton of fun--I got squirlled today when I went over to my inlaws ( who are spending 20k to
"redesign" the kitchen that they never cook in)--and my father-in-law got me to grout 1/4 of the new tile in the kitchen--guess I made out easier than you

Holy POOP! 65 yards?!?!?! I ache just thinking about that!!! I think my personal best is 5 or 6 yards, but I'm usually the only one on the job that knows how to finish it, so I intentional keep the pours small.

Charlie, don't you hate when you spend that kinda money and time and aren't able to fix stuff? Yesterday I spent the better part of the day framing up 8 feet of wall. There's about 20 different problems going on all at the same time to cope with, making the framing a major nightmare. Now that I know what I have to do to cope with those problems, today went much more smoothly. With any luck I'll be done with the framing tomorrow and won't have to think much about this anymore. To name a few of the problems, the slab is not flat ... in any direction. The walls are not plumb nor square in any direction. There are no reference points to base measurements from. The ceiling is not level in any direction, even once a level surface is created under it. What was supposed to be an easy little project has turned into twice the work initially expected.

I hear ya mister. That was my day on monday. Started by waking up on my "universary" and walking my dogs only to have them both get attacked by a swarm of yellow jackets. It was all downhill from there! Hope today is better for you brother!

I had that the other day.

On my way home, the TB broke in my Corolla. (see pic)

Then, I fired up my "spare" car and made sure it ran. The next day I went to start it, and got nothing. My key is pretty worn, and I think the ig. may have been in the "ON" position somehow. Was able jump w/ broken corolla. Tried to charge it, and go nothing. Oil change at Walmart turned into an ordeal. Ended up having to buy a battery there, take my old batt. to diff. parts store and exchange it (cost me $20, vs the $74 from Walmart.) My saving grace was that Walmart refunded my 30 min old battery!

You dirty rat bastid! You just had to put this out into the ethos, didn't you!

I Started off this morning NOT being ready to get up. Not unusual, but I was particularly tired this morning. Next thing that happens is that the internet went down. Didn't think a lot about it and went about my day. I head out to an appointment, only to have the transmission blow on my truck 6 blocks from the house.   The shop tells me that it will be between $1800 and $2400 to repair. Like I had that kind of money laying around ... Now to figure out how to live without a vehicle for the next week to 10 days while the tranny is being overhauled. Oh, and I was on the way to the gas station to fill up because the "low fuel" light was on, so now the truck sits at the mechanic, empty AND without a tranny. :? :? :?

Can I go back to be and call "do over"? :?
