"A" Bottom stamp Chassis

Hello! I am really loving this forum. I thought I knew a lot about the RC10, but many of you make me feel like a freshman. Which is great as I do not have anyone in my area who is into this. Anyway, I have read the rules and excuse me ahead of time if I am off. I do not want a dollar amount, just different input on this chassis I have.
I recieved this box of parts free from a guy cleaning out his shop. I knew the letter sequences already but on the forum have learned more detail about them. On with my delimma. This chassis has an "A" on the top and bottom. I know value is somtimes in the eye of the beholder but would it be a RC10 sin to paint or polish it or should I put it back together for what it is battle scars and all? Thanks all.

PS I got my camera working so I will post my stuff as I know I enjoy looking at all the great stuff other posters have.
Box of parts. The shocks have the solid spring retainers.

I say go for it! :D RC10's are not exactly rare yet, as you will at least 10 on ebay at any given time. If it ends up looking better to you than it was the right choice. :D

Go ahead! Customize away! If it was pristine I'd say keep it stock but it has been well used so you can't hurt it.

It's already beat up so might as well just customize it. As others have suggested, you can easily find another one on Ebay for a fair price.

You can really find these that readily. I thought the stamp on the bottom side was a lot fewer and farther between than the ones with the stamp on top like all the latter models?

Think of it this way, you can keep this and find another chassis on Ebay :)

Quality control was a bit laxed back then and some chassis just are not perfect. Doesnt really improve the value though.
