It was about time I started a new thread for this project for which I've been collecting stuff for years now. The least I can say is that it's quite a long quest to find early RC10 parts as very few early kits were released (and I would still like to know the approximate number of "early Edinger" kits ever released...), not even mentioning the time I spent hunting for the very first Novak ESC that is installed in the Box Art car.
So, my plan is to build up an exact replica of the buggy appearing on the first RC10 box and replicate every single detail. Last year I grabbed a new built Edinger buggy that is really too nice to be used for that purpose and even though it is an early kit, it did not came with the fiberglass battery straps, rear recessed shock cups and only rear Goodyear tires.
I recently purchased 2 used early Edinger rolling chassis, first one came with the first Novak ESC, rear Goodyear tires in good shape and recessed shock cups, but was missing the fiberglass battery straps and the front Goodyear tires (those seem even rarer than the rear ones). Here are some pictures of it:

The second rolling chassis came with every single detail that makes a true early kit, except the fact that in this one, only the front tires have the Goodyear logo, go figure... here it is:

And on top of it, I bought this lot from the same seller as the last chassis:
