So is it worth converting to a xx-4 or will it be cheaper to just by xx-4?

Its got to be cheaper to try & buy a complete XX4 surely? Theres just too many parts that you'd need... longer shocks, shock mounts, driveshafts etc etc
Mind you - a quick search on ebay only brings up one complete car - thats in Germany.... but loads of spares

Depends on how much you want a XX4 I guess. The XX4 layout was quite competitve as a buggy if I remember correctly..... but as a touring car - rather flawed.... well mine never went that well BITD

Seems the reverse happened with the XXX-4, great sedan, but not so great off road. Looks like Losi did the reverse with the XXX-4. They made an off road buggy from an on road sedan (XXX-S), and with the street weapon, they made a sedan out of a buggy. I love my XXX-4, but I prefer my XX-4 on bumpy tracks, but for on-road I love my XXX-S. You can get them on ebay pretty cheep as well, plus they still make parts for it, so it's a little easier keeping it going. So unless you are specifically looking for a street weapon (cuz it is a pretty cool car), I would get a XXX-S.

I dont want the street weapon I really want the xx4. I have a ton of street weapon parts and a complete chassis plus almost another complete chassis.
