This could make a good thread.

I have an idea

and I think it could be a laugh and maybe make a great thread/storey.
I thought I would take a photo of my "basher shell" on a chassis somewhere of interest (nice scenery or location of interest or fun), post the pick, then send the shell (not the chassis) on to the next location for another member to do the same (maybe sign it or put a decal on it to show you've had it).
I though being as how it is my idea I would take the initial hit of getting it across the pond (by boat so it takes a long time

). The aim is to get the shell east to west around the globe, mounted and photographed at as many locations as possible and get it back to me in the UK, see how long we could make the journey last and how many members we can get involved. Anyone volunteer to be the next "KEEPER OF THE SHELL"

It's a purdy shell

Corny, but worthy.
I'll participate.
My wife participated on one of these with a doll a few years ago.
The Internet makes it sooo much better.

I think the next member needs to be on the East coast of the US or Canada unless we have any members from Greenland

So, wouldn't it be better to race the body at various events, and then pass it on??

I think where you photo it when you get it is up to you (as long as it’s location specific) and at a race meet is as good as anywhere, I don't race so a location shot would be my option. I thought that when it got back to me I would ebay it with some "super rear collectors around the world vintage RC10 original body" advert and whatever profit it made I would donate to RC10Talk

, but it doesn’t look like there’s a lot of interest in this idea so it might die on its feet

. I think we need a few more members in it before it’s a runner.

I'll play. I am only a few miles from the beach on the East coast. How about a shot in the sand?

That would make a great shot but unfortunately there doesn't appear to be enough interest to make it a good thread, four stops on it's way round the world doesn't seem much of an adventure

I think if we keep this thread alive, it will fly. Maybe not now, maybe not next month. But I bet we can get it started by summer. Start a list on your first post and put my name and location down. I bet we get more.

I'll do it. I live in the "Boondocks" of Mississippi. The only thing I can think of around here that wouldnt be just another picture would be a "Landmark Sign" marking a field that Charles Lindbergh once landed in. Maybe I can come up with something else if that doesnt sound good.
EDIT: I just remembered I dont have a "Buggy" chassis. All I have is: RC10T (I think thats what it is), DS, and T3). Could I put it on on of those, IF it HAS to be mounted?
