Hmm..I may have to re-think this whole Slash vs. SC10 thing.

As a fan of the Ultima series for the past 20+ years, this may be hard to resist....

didn't proline release a bugsy body for the slash too?

this car is based on the new RT5 right? personally I'd rather run that than this SC version.

You bet!

It's a great looking body.

But I plan on using it on my RC10 GT in the near future with a full set of
Proline bead-locks & tires. I've got yet another project planned..

I'm a little rusty on the post Ultima, Turbo Ultima, Pro, Pro XL, (and crappy Ultima 2/Outrage) series. Since Tower hobbies dropped Kyosho, I haven't really kept up with the latest & greatest. I like the idea of brand loyalty, as the Turbo was my first competition worthy buggy...that immediately was converted into a truck back in the day. If this truck is the real deal, it may be enough to sway me from a Slash purchase. I've got until Christmas to decide, as I have to buy 2 trucks. One for me & one for my son. I have "0" interest in running a buggy at the moment. I only have room left for a couple more vehicles in my collection, then I'm done for awhile...

Maybe it would be cheaper to convert the RT5 over?...Just add body & wheels..

Probably not. Most sc trucks are based off the regular truck, but with extended chassis'. You would have to replace the chassis and bumpers and side nerf bars and body and tires and wheels. The bodies, tires, and wheels will cost you around $125 just for those. So your better off just buying the truck.

I agree: parts are always more expensive sold separately than as part of a kit.
The RT5 already uses an extended chassis over the RB5 , so no worry on that point.
But still why would you pay the RT5 kits body, tires and wheels and later buy the side nerves, rear and front bumper plus body wheels and tires of the SC?
