In my search for RC10 knowledge I would like to pose the question, what is the ultimate collectors RC10

. I suppose I'm looking for two answers, the first being what is the ultimate from the box car (i.e. a shrink rapped 6010) and what is the ultimate has been raced/run car (i.e. a Masami Hirosaka world championship winning car)

. I know members are going to have different answers and that's OK it's opinions I'm interested in as I have no idea. Thanks.

I think the NIB choice is easy the original RC10 although for personal reasons I'd also like the RC10T2
As a racecar most will disagree with me (I think) and say a B3x (B4 prototype)

My thoughts:
MIB/opened but unbuilt (some of these would have to be opened to confirm build version...):
Buggy:
6000 6010 6016 6020 East Edinger address.
Horizon TQ10
6000 6010 6016 6020 Garden variety.
6025 6030 6036 Graphite (If there is truly a "World's" Graphite, that would get a major jump in the standings!)
6035 Team Car w/ black Stealth "A" chassis and "four holes on a side" front shock tower.
6037 World's Car
Truck:
7001 (narrow wheel version)
7035 Team truck (All black version, final production)
7060 GT white truck w/ clutch spring, copper colored wire brake arm
Really, any largely unmolested RC10 variant is desireable at this point.

well, i'd say a 6036 graphite team car for an ultmate collector sealed kit.
as for an ultimate race car, i'd say any of them without a 6 gear trans.

I think the closest I am ever going to get to such as thing is the first RC10 Graphite ever made (first off the product line, I suppose). When I asked AE if there is a gold tub RC10 they would call the first, they said no (but there are some very cool super early, pre-production RC10s, like what was used on the box art, etc). So the very first of the second car they made is as close to the very first as you can get in AE land.
Of course, you have to subscribe to the idea that ultimate = first and/or unique to consider this car to be the ultimate RC10.
That said, even I would consider the '91 Stealth car to be more ultimate'ish. Unique, famous, historically relevant. How can that be beat?

I think the '91 Worlds Stealth car (the original stealth imo) is the coolest race car.. although the Brian Kinwald 93 Worlds winner is pretty special because Brian won the worlds with a much more stock looking car than Masami ever used. You could replicate the BK car and use it yourself on the track.. Doing that with a Masami car was nigh-on impossible.

Isn't that what the RC10 Worlds Car was copied from?
