Buddy called me a few weeks ago that knows I collect the old stuff, said a guy at the track has a bunch of old stuff in the back of his truck for sale, said 1 was a yokomo, wasn't sure on the other, wanted $25 for all of it, did he want me to pick it up. I reply hell yeah, don't waste time calling next time just tell me what I owe you. Ended up a real nice yoke, with jg truck conversion, boxes, manuals, the stock part that maybe had 3 or 4 packs on them. And an ayk radiant. Stuck a battery in the yz and ran it around the driveway when I got home. Going to get around to cleaning them up, put the yoke back to a buggy this winter.

see deals are still out you just have to be at the right place at the right time, or at least know someone who is. What I can't believe is it was probably 2 or so in the afternoon when he called, he'd been there since 10 and nobody had snagged them up yet. The few times a year I actually race, thats first on the list, make the pit rounds to see whats for sale.

Yeah I kind of wondered why they had the shocks swapped. I didn't really realize how nice the bottom was until I snapped the pics.. she's a keeper!

actually they aren't glued. I really rarely get rid of any of the old stuff, but I will kick it around as I am going to put it back to a buggy anyway. I'll think about it.

Wow. Sweet score. Actually Junkman, you have quite the collection! I am quite envious after reading all of your posts today.
As far as the shocks being upside down, seems like I remember some people running them like that bitd. I think the line of thinking was something to the effect of the air bubbles rise to the top and then the piston hits the softer part of the oil at the beginning of the travel rather than the end. Kind of like a poor mans progressive suspension I guess. Not sure how well it actually worked. Never tried it myself.

More like old school shocks were notorious for leaking hence the inverted theory.
