Sorry if this person visited or visits the forum, but why would you waste money on the listing fees when you know there is no way in the world. Let's be realistic.

If you see this truck driving down your street, I probably wouldn't say that within earshot. I'd hate to see one of your pretty RC10's end up as a small wrinkled golden ball of twisted aluminum and broken nylon.

What about the tires?

Look, just because you can't see the 4 counter gears, 2 pinions and 4 counter gear shafts, don't mean there's not any Tamiya parts left.

Heck, I'll probably put a few Tamiya stickers on the body when it's done too.
Ron, I've never seen that double steering servo setup before. That looks pretty awesome.
scr8p, yep it's finally pretty much done. I've got to make some adjustments to the rear end and get a body for it. I got the Proline 72 Chevy long body, but I'm not real happy with it's fit, so I've got to find something else.

I have a simple question, and I've heard y'all talk, what makes old RC10 stuff worth so much more than that Falcon.
I don't mean to be this way, but really, it's all vintage, and it's all garbage really. If it was that great, guess what? The current RC10 would look just like the one from 1986.
I was involved with rc stuff from about 1988 until 1994. I've been through all the RC10 conversions that y'all pant over, and they were all garbage other than the RPM "Worlds" conversion for the tub chassis. Even the sponsored drivers I new at the time thought it was cool.
Thanks to the sell out to Thunder Tiger, this is what has happened. Prices through the roof, because it's now "collectable" And the new stuff is going to be garbage, just like the old days. Associated/ TT is going to go into the same realm as Radio Shack toys.
I'm not really this way all the time, just the search for parts to keep my 2 vehicles running, and maybe build another 2 out of spare parts, has gotten on my nerves, and I'm in a bad mood tonight.

cheesy or not, I would bet that a new built Falcon would sell for more than a new built 6010
Ron I would invite you to take a look at tamiya as there are some really sweet rides your missing out on

Nice rides.
I have nothing against Tamiya. I have no connection with them either...
I was just poking some ribs.
My only other Tamiya was a Fox (I think? The horizontal monoshock setup). I got it at a garage sale pretty much brand new. That was back when I raced alot, so it was my basher. Even if I had it today it would be laughably abused looking. If I remember right, I either purchased or fabricated a normal, two shock setup for it. It handled TERRIBLY with the one shock. Like lifting rear tires on corners terrible.

sounds like you were a racer at one time?
if so then you can prolly answer your own questions.....
