ok i have some narrow front 2.2" wheels on my rc10 project. i have been looking around and haven't found much in the line of tires for the narrow wheels. i ended up ordering a set of panther lynx ribbed front tires to try out.

they are listed as "soft" but where does their idea of soft compare to something like the proline m3 tire compound? also has anyone tried these tires on a vintage racer and what was your opinion of them? and last but not least what are some other modern narrow front tire options other than the panther lynx and bobcat? i have shaky hands and limited skills with superglue so modding wide tires to fit my narrow wheels is not an option.

What rims are you using?, those tires look like they might work on super blue grove track

just measured the outer width. 0.77"

Just for fun I just put a set of Proline Edge 2.2 tires meant for B4 .95" rims on a set of B3 .77 rims and they fit without any trouble. Have you tried a standard front tire yet?

nope not yet. i have 3 sets of fronts on the way but 2 were listed as wide. i will have to give the edge tires a try also.

i have picked up a few sets of xxx cr fronts. does anyone know the width of them? sadly they don't match the disc wheels but if they are wider i may have to use them for racing if i cant find any narrow fronts that will work. i will order a set of the edge tires here an a couple weeks and try them also.

AE's web store had em really cheap, and it's a nice tire, tower has them as well

horizon used to have quite a few narrow losi front rib tires in a couple different compounds. don't know if they still do or not.....
