Old 1/8 gas serpent

Been watching this on a local auction site does anybody know anything about these cars?..is it worth anything?..are they rare?..he's asking $350-$390

Looks like a Sepent Sprint 6000 circa 1988 perhaps.

It looks to me like it's belt driven 4WD ?

Yep 2 speed belt driven 4wd.....first Serpent where the shocks start to be more upright as well.

The Serpent you have is the Impact but it is 1/10th scale not 1/8th. Normally a quick check is the size of the fuel tank you can determine quickly what scale of car you are looking at. As a comparison that price is good for the shape it is in (esp if the engine still has compression and has not been trashed).
1/8 onroad cars do hold their value but alot of them are in pretty bad condition and finding parts for them are next to impossible. However, Deltas and rc500s in pretty bad shape can still command high prices.

That is exactly what it is a Serpent Sprint 6000 circa, I have the one that came out a few years later Serpent Excel 9000. I like it though

are you going to get it?

Thanks...if he was only asking $150 I'd buy it just to add to my projects pile..
