If you are running on road the answer is maybe, the Cobalt is really finicky as far as gear, one might run a very different roll out than the next to be quick. A montster stock is always a quick choice, as well as a binary or binary 2 if you can come up with one

That motor worked well for me in the Frog. I'm sure it would be even better in an RC10.

Stay away from the Reedy Stockstar (junk)

reedy just should have went ahead and put into production the motor that BIG JIM designed for them. the "reedy cobalt" was the fastest motor never made as he liked to put it. the project was scraped at the last minute because it would have cost like $10.00 more to build and that would have put it over the limit for a stock motor. after that he consulted for trinity and the trinity cobalt was relased but it was no where near as good as the reedy version.

I was very happy with the Co27. I don't really have any other motors from today I can compare it to though.

The last motor I bought before the Co27 was a Reedy Silver dot, which I still have :).
